Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

The free week

Every new site is free for the first 7 days. You will not be charged during this time, and no payment card is required to start.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time, from your site's account settings or from the Stripe customer portal — no phone call and no waiting. Cancelling stops future billing straight away. Your site stays live and fully editable until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; after that, it is paused rather than deleted, so you can pick it back up later if you change your mind.

Refunds

We do not provide refunds for part of a month that has already started. If you cancel partway through a paid period, you keep access for the rest of that period rather than receiving money back for the unused days.

Outside of that, if something has gone wrong on our side — for example, you were charged in error, or the service was materially unavailable through a fault of ours — contact us and we will make it right, which may include a refund or a credit, at our discretion.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it automatically over roughly two weeks, and we will email you about the failure. If every retry fails, the subscription is cancelled and the site is paused. You can restart at any time by resubscribing.

Domain names

If you buy a domain from us, it is paid for a year at a time, separately from your subscription. Once registered, a domain cannot be refunded, including if you cancel your subscription. If we cannot register it (for example, the name was taken or the price rose before registration), we will refund you automatically.

We will email you the renewal price about 45 days before expiry and charge you about 40 days before. You can switch renewal off before you are charged. A renewal that has been paid is not refunded once the domain has renewed.

Cancelling your subscription does not cancel your domain, but we only renew it while your subscription is active. It remains yours until it expires and will lapse unless you move it. You can move the domain to another provider from 60 days after registration.

Connecting a domain you already own costs nothing from us, so there is nothing for us to refund. Payments to your own domain company are between you and them.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your right to a remedy where a service is not provided with due care and skill, or does not do what it was described as doing. This policy describes how we handle refunds in the ordinary course of business; it does not reduce those statutory rights.
