Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 September 2026
1. Who we are
Sitebrief is operated by KUDAI CO PTY LTD (ACN 681 442 697, ABN 86 681 442 697), an Australian company ("we", "us", "our"). These terms apply whenever you use sitebrief.au or sign up for a Sitebrief subscription.
2. What Sitebrief does
Sitebrief builds and hosts a website for your trade or professional services business. You describe your business through our online questionnaire, and we generate a website for you to review, publish and edit.
As part of running and improving the service, Sitebrief also measures how its own site is used — which pages are visited and what is clicked.
3. The free week
A new site is free to use for 7 days from the day it is generated. During this time you can review it, make changes, and decide whether to keep it. No payment card is required to start.
4. Subscription and billing
If you keep your site after the free week, it costs $30 per month (Australian dollars). Prices shown in other currencies are converted from this Australian dollar price once, when the price is created, rounded up to a whole unit, and kept until the Australian dollar price changes. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card details.
- Billing is monthly in advance and continues automatically until you cancel.
- We are not currently registered for GST, so no GST is added to this price.
- If our pricing changes, we will tell you in advance. A price change never
applies to a billing period you have already paid for.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your site's account settings or from the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling stops future billing; your site stays live and editable until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part of a month that has already started — see our Refund and Cancellation Policy for the full detail, including how Australian Consumer Law applies regardless of anything in these terms.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time by going to Settings > Account. To keep your account safe, you will need to re-enter your password or re-do your Google sign-in to confirm.
When you request deletion, your subscriptions are cancelled immediately so you will not be charged again. We do not offer refunds for a change of mind, but your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
Your account and its live sites are deleted 7 days after your request. During those 7 days, your sites will be offline, but you can sign in and choose "Keep my account" if you change your mind. Some information may remain in our secure, encrypted backups for up to 30 days, and some records are kept where the law requires it, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
If you share a team with other members, you must either hand it over to another member or delete it. If you hand it over, your subscription ends. Its sites stay online until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the new owner will need to subscribe to keep them online.
If you bought a domain name through us, you should transfer it out to another provider before deleting your account, otherwise it will not be renewed and will expire at the end of its registration term. We keep only a minimal record of it until it expires or is transferred.
6. Your account and your content
You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information, photos and other content you give us, and for making sure you have the right to use it (for example, photos you upload). You keep ownership of your content; you give us permission to host, display and reproduce it as part of building and running your website.
An account is an email address you have confirmed by clicking a link we email to you, plus a password or Google sign-in. It is your responsibility to give us a correct email address that you control, and to keep it updated. We use this address to send your account confirmation link, because access goes to whoever controls the confirmed address. If you enter an incorrect email address, the person who receives that link could confirm the account and access your site, and you may lose access. If you use an email address that already has a Sitebrief account, the site is only added to it after the account's owner signs in, or they can choose to decline it.
If you do not save your site to a confirmed email address, it is only reachable from the browser you used to make it. Unsaved sites are deleted after 8 days (the free week plus one day).
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens through your account.
We also collect usage data — for example, which pages are visited and what is clicked — as part of running Sitebrief. That data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
7. Domain names
Your subscription does not include a domain name. Every site gets a free web address, which is a subdomain of sitebrief.au. Using your own domain is optional. You can either buy one from us, or connect one you already own or buy elsewhere.
If you buy a domain from us, it is paid for a year at a time, separately from your subscription. We show you the price in Australian dollars before you pay, and the price is set by us. The domain is registered in your name using the registrant details you give us, which must be accurate.
We will email you the renewal price about 45 days before the domain expires. If you have renewal switched on and your subscription is active, we will charge your card about 40 days before expiry. You can switch renewal off. If renewal is off or the payment fails, the domain is not renewed and will lapse.
Once registered, a domain cannot be refunded. If we cannot register it (for example, the name was taken or the price rose before registration), we will refund you automatically. A domain is not yours until its registration is confirmed, so please wait for that before printing it on anything. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
From 60 days after registration (a registry rule), you can get the transfer code in your account and move the domain to another provider. Renewal through us then stops.
If you connect a domain you bring yourself, connecting it costs nothing extra from us. You keep paying whoever you registered it with, and it stays subject to their terms and the registry's rules.
All domains are also subject to the rules of the registry for their ending.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use Sitebrief to publish content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights. We can suspend or terminate a site that we reasonably believe breaches this.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Sitebrief available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access — this is a small operation, not an enterprise hosting platform, and the price reflects that. We may add, change or remove features over time. If a feature we have advertised is not yet built, we will not charge extra for it, and we will fix the advertising rather than leave it inaccurate.
10. Ending the service
We may suspend or end a site's service if payment fails and is not corrected after reasonable notice, or if these terms are breached. Where we end a service for reasons other than your breach, we will not charge you for time you have not had the service.
If we ever close Sitebrief down completely, we will give customers with an active subscription at least 30 days' notice by email. We will offer each of them, free of charge, a copy of their website's files (the pages, text and images) that they can put up with another host. If we bought a domain name for them, we will help them transfer it out as described in section 7, as soon as the registry allows (not within 60 days of registration). We will not charge for time after the service ends, and we will refund any part of a period already paid for that falls after it.
11. Your consumer rights are not affected
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited under that law, it is limited to, at our option, supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
Except for those rights, and to the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim relating to Sitebrief is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects you, we will let you know before it takes effect, for example by email or a notice on your account. Continuing to use Sitebrief after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and Victorian courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
